Reading activity

Track reading activity Shows the tracker in the reader and records reading time, characters, and speed.

Starting and pausing

These options apply when reading activity tracking is on.

Start tracking

Manually (default) Tracking starts only when you use the tracker in the reader.

Automatically Tracking starts after your reading position has settled for a short delay.

Pause tracking

Controls how readily focus changes pause an active session.

Only for reader events Pauses only when the reader itself knows that reading has stopped.

When the reader tab loses focus (default) Pauses when you switch tabs, windows, or apps.

Whenever the site loses focus Also pauses for popups and other focus changes within the browser.

Keep tracking during supported dictionary lookups Prevents supported Yomitan or jpdb Browser Reader lookups from pausing the session. Yomitan requires Secure Container to be off.

Pause after no page activity Automatically pauses a session when you stop turning pages or scrolling.

Completing a book

Open the tracker on completion Shows the current session when you mark a book complete.

Count unread characters on completion Adds the characters between your current position and the end of the book.

Completion date

Keep the first completion date (default) Finishing the book again does not replace its original completion date.

Use the latest completion date Each completion replaces the previously recorded date.

Day boundary

Reading before this time counts toward the previous day.

A new reading day starts at This affects daily statistics and reading goals.

Reading data when removing books

Choose what happens to local bookmarks and statistics when you delete a book copy.

After removing a book

Keep reading data (default) Preserves bookmarks and statistics in case you add the book again.

Delete reading data Removes bookmarks and statistics along with the local book copy.

Delete data left by books already removed

Permanently removes orphaned bookmarks and statistics without affecting books still in your library.

Fine-tune less common tracking options.

Detect large forward jumps Treats moving forward by more than a set number of characters as a skip.

When a large jump is detected

Ignore the jump (default) Does not count the jumped-over characters, then continues tracking.

Pause tracking Stops the session so you can check the new position before continuing.
